Battle River Power Coop is a Rural Electrification Association that operates under cooperative principles. The Coop provides electrical distribution for farms, rural businesses, industry, and recreation/residential development. As an electric utility cooperative, the Coop offers several advantages that are unique to the coop business model.
Our rural Alberta service area stretches from the Town of Bruderheim in the north to the Village of Alix in the south, and east from the Town of Wainwright to the Village of Thorsby in the west, spanning 13 Alberta Municipal Districts and Counties. We have been providing safe, reliable electricity distribution to rural Alberta for 75 years and serve 8,700-plus members.
We employ 60 qualified people who contribute to the cost-effective, reliable and safe energy delivery through services including power restoration, new construction, vegetation management, loans, electrician services, and utility billing.

Project Services - Administrative Assistant
Battle River Power Coop is a cooperative electric utility in Central Alberta supplying electricity to about 8700 rural members.
We have a staff of 64 employees engaged in all aspects of power distribution from installation to maintenance to billing, all administered from the same office near Camrose, Alberta.
General Summary
- Place and track 1 st Call
- Track construction files for scheduling and calling members
- Assistance with trouble calls
- Assist with inventory
- Track and follow up on deficiencies for Quality Management Plan
- Monitoring Business Central Inventory & Costing System
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal communications and customer service skills
- Experience in an electrical utility environment would be an asset
- Capable of working in a multitasking environment
- Training in the following areas: Microsoft Office, Business Central
Hours of Operation: Generally 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
