Battle River Power Coop is conscious of how important lights turning on with a flick of a switch is to our members. While we don’t like interrupting your service, sometimes we have to for preventative maintenance. Being proactive with our work will mean fewer unplanned outages for you in the future.

Planned power outages happen when necessary repairs and installation work is required to poles and lines, which is an important part of delivering safe and reliable service. In order to maintain our poles and lines, this work requires planned outages – for our safety and yours.

When we do schedule an outage, we advise our members at least 3+ days in advance. The ways we keep you informed are with automated phone calls to those members affected by the outage, our outage map on our website, and through our Facebook and Twitter channels. Note: our social media accounts are not monitored 24/7; if you have any questions or concerns, please call our toll-free number to get a response after-hours.

If you have call control, please add BRPC’s toll-free number (1.877.428.3972) as an accepted number so our automated system can get through to you. We can also notify you by texting your cellphone or via email notification to the email address on file.

For these reasons, it is very important to make sure your contact information is up-to-date. The more information we have to contact you the less likely you are to be “left in the dark”.
