Utility billing is part of the full spectrum of services that Battle River Power Coop provides to our members. Most meters are read using Automated Meter Reading (AMR) by plane which picks up a radio signal for each meter. The data is inserted into a software application and then downloaded into the billing system software or forwarded to alternate electricity retailers that may have been chosen by members. The team in Utility Billing, following meticulous procedures aimed at both accuracy and efficiency, prints and mails the bills with the monthly newsletters.

Coop members have the option to pay bills by mail, through the bank directly or by Pre-Authorized Withdrawal (PAW), or through an on-line account on the Battle River Power Coop website. An on-line account is easy to set up and offers the advantages of reducing paper and postage. Simply go to On-line Account Set Up (under the Members tab) and fill out the on-line form. You will receive a return email from Battle River Power Coop with instructions about how to complete your on-line account access.

An on-line account enables you to securely view your account history, make payments or review invoice details like kWh usage, distribution tariff and transmission charges. The information is close at hand on your cell phone or tablet, so it is possible to pay bills when you are away from home.

For the convenience of members who prefer to pay their bills at the office, Battle River Power Coop recently added two new options to debit transactions. Visa and Mastercard debit cards may now be used in addition to the credit and debit cards already available. Battle River Power Coop consistently strives to provide members with the best possible service in the field and in the office. Making bill payment as convenient and efficient as possible is one of the ways we serve our members.
