Farm Credit Canada AgriSpirit Fund Open for Applications
Farm Credit Canada (FCC) is now accepting applications from registered charities and non-profit organizations in rural Canada for the $1 million FCC AgriSpirit Fund.
Applications are closed and will re-open March 2018.

Growing Forward 2 Grants & Programs
Growing Forward 2 is a package of programs that support the unique needs of Alberta farmers. There are grants and cost sharing initiatives for many aspects of agriculture, including On-farm Energy Management. On-Farm Solar Photovoltaics was added to the On-Farm Energy Management Sub-Program on February 8, 2016.
Grant by Alberta Agriculture and Forestry
Funding is available for agricultural business skills training. The Business Management Skills Development Program will cover 75% of tuition fees or the cost to hire an instructor for a group skill training course.

FCC Ag Safety Fund
Farm Credit Canada and the Canadian Agricultural Safety Association (CASA) work together with charitable and non-profit groups to deliver agriculture safety training to farmers and farm workers. Projects of a local or provincial nature are eligible to receive up to $5,000, based on a proposed budget. Go to www.casa-acsa.ca and click on grants for complete information.
Back to AG Program
A partnership between Farm Credit Canada, the Canadian Agricultural Safety Association, and the Rick Hansen Foundation make this grant possible. It is a new funding project aimed at helping with the cost of adaptive technology for farmers or farm workers who have experienced traumatic injury. This technology could be medical devises, lifts, ramps or any other technology that would assist the farmer to return to work. Go to www.casa-acsa.ca for more information.
New Farm Service Grant
There is a grant available for agriculture services, and a farm fuel number is required. Grant is 50% of eligible costs over $4500, with a max grant of $5250, and min $25. Easement costs are not eligible unless they are Crown easements. Conversion from small single phase (25KVa or less) to large single phase (over 25KVa) or three phase is eligible for this grant as well. This grant must be advanced within a year of the service being built - provided there is a grant budget. Call toll free 310-0000 then 780-422-9167 to receive an Alberta Farm Fuel Benefit number.
