Battle River Power Coop's sole mission is to provide electricity to our members and future members in the most prudent manner possible, while providing the best possible service.

Vision

To operate a fair, accountable and responsible cooperative demonstrating flexibility and futuristic vision.

Cooperative Principles

Voluntary and Open Membership – Battle River Power Coop is a voluntary organization, open to all persons able to use their services and willing to accept the responsibilities of membership, without gender, social, racial, political, or religious discrimination. “Membership for All”

Democratic Member Control – Battle River Power Coop is a democratic organization controlled by its members, who actively participate in setting policies and making decisions.  “One Member, One Vote”

Members’ Economic Participation – Battle River Power Coop members contribute equitably to, and democratically control, the capital of their cooperative. “You Don’t Just Pay for Electricity You Invest in the Utility You Own”

Autonomy and Independence – Battle River Power Coop is autonomous, a self-help organization controlled by its members. “Self-Reliance Is a Way of Life”

Education, Training, and Information – Battle River Power Coop provides education and training for their members, elected representatives, managers, and employees so they can contribute effectively to the development of their cooperative.  “You are an Owner, Not a Customer”
