Brian Carlson is a Board Director with Battle River Power Coop and has been with the Association since 1976, beginning with CCREA before they amalgamated with Battle River Power Coop.
Other Boards, Committees and Community Services Brian has been Involved with include, the following: Farmer’s Union of Alberta - Unifarm, Crooked Lake and Roseland Cemeteries, Central Community Hall, Wetaskiwin Coop, Delegate for the APPMB (Pork Board), Board member and treasurer AB Baptist General Conference, Board Member with the Baptist Church, and Village Square Condominium Board.
Brian was born and raised on a farm in the Gwynne area, and went to college at NAIT; where he obtained his Mechanical Air Conditioning Diploma. Worked in Edmonton for 3 years as an engineering technologist before returning to my farming roots in 1966. Brian now owns and operates a 2500 – 3000 acre corporate grain farm with brothers and nephew and a 150 head Nucleus sow operation with his son.
Since becoming semi retired, Brian’s hobbies include camping, working on the farm and spending time with his wife Joyce, and his 2, children and 4 grandchildren.
